ACCREDITED PROVIDER

This activity is provided by The France Foundation.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This educational initiative is intended for primary care clinicians, pulmonologists, respiratory nurses and therapists, and other healthcare professionals who provide care for patients and families living with COPD.

STATEMENT OF NEED
Managing the complexities of COPD, along with comorbidities—often within brief office visits—is challenging. Some 16 million individuals in the United States are estimated to have COPD and another 12 million may remain undiagnosed. COPD is also frequently underdiagnosed, particularly in its early stages. Primary care practices are the backbone of COPD identification and management and have many continuing opportunities to update and upgrade the care they give to patients and families with COPD.

ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
The France Foundation is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

CREDIT DESIGNATION
Physicians:
The France Foundation designates this enduring activity for a maximum of 0.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: Nurses who are certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) may utilize activities that are certified by ACCME-accredited providers toward their requirement for certification renewal by the ANCC. A certificate of attendance will be provided by The France Foundation, an ACCME accredited provider.
