OLD LYME, CT — OCTOBER 30, 2013 — For the second year, The France Foundation has worked closely with the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) to jointly sponsor the 53rd Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC) for physician, pharmacist, and laboratory clinician continuing education credits. This year’s successful ICAAC meeting, the premier meeting on antimicrobial agents and infectious diseases, was held from September 10-13 in Denver, Colorado, and included 255 sessions representing faculty researchers from around the world.
Earlier this year in May, The France Foundation and the American Society for Microbiology also jointly sponsored ASM’s 113th General Meeting (asm2013) held in Denver for physician and laboratory clinician continuing education credits. This year’s successful asm2013, a cutting edge scientific meeting for microbiology clinicians, showcased nearly 50 sessions with presentations from leading national and international investigators discussing exciting breakthroughs in basic, clinical, and environmental microbiology; pathogenesis; infectious diseases; and other pertinent areas. Going forward, the two organizations will be working together to jointly sponsor other certified educational initiatives.
